Aaron is hoping to represent the Delhi Daredevils in this year’s IPL
India pace bowler Varun Aaron has announced that he is “two to three months” away from making his international comeback after suffering a serious back injury in December 2011 against the West Indies.
Aaron has been undergoing treatment at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore over the past few months and is hoping to be back in time for this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) which is scheduled to begin at the start of April.
“I am recovering well and expecting to go back to the field in two to three months time,” Aaron said.
Aaron did play eight games for the Delhi Daredevils in last year’s IPL, but returned to the NCA after his back injury resurfaced.
“I had ‘L5’ injury (a kind of spinal cord injury), but it is improving well now,” Aaron added.
