Trott believes England have done everything possible in preparing for the first Test against India
England batsman Jonathan Trott has announced that the national team have prepared for their upcoming Test series against India extremely well.
Trott noted that he was confident England would do well in the first Test at Ahmedabad on November 15.
“You can never be over-prepared for such a big tour as this one. We went to Dubai for a few days and trained really well there in what would be sub-continental conditions. The pitches we have played on here are pretty typical of what you would find here. So, it has been very good preparation,” Trott said.
Trott’s team-mate Ian Bell further reiterated the feeling within the team by stating that England were ready to end their losing streak in the subcontinent and prove their critics wrong about the squad’s inability to handle spin bowling.
Bell added that he had a lot of faith in England’s bowling attack and expects them to trouble the Indian batsmen throughout the four-Test series.
“They haven’t just been good in English conditions. They were fantastic in Dubai and Abu Dhabi last year, and In Sri Lanka. We are lucky that we can do a number of different bowling attacks. I would like to think that if the batters can get runs on the board, we have an attack that can certainly take wickets,” Bell said.
