Hunte was extremely excited with the deal
The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has agreed to a seven-year television rights deal with Taj TV, which is set to begin from January 2013.
In a press release, the WICB stated that Taj TV had acquired the international broadcast rights for all of the West Indies’ matches, while also gaining full access of the production rights as well.
Despite the amount paid not being revealed in the press release, Taj TV will broadcast 253 days of international cricket as part of the seven-year deal.
WICB president Julian Hunte said: “We are extremely delighted to continue our long standing association with Taj TV Limited who has been our media rights partner previously and with whom we have had a solid and mutually beneficial relationship.”
