There will be high expectations of Broad throughout the series

England Twenty20 captain Stuart Broad has been named as Alastair Cook’s deputy for the upcoming Test series against India.

The first Test between the two nations is scheduled to take place on November 15 in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, England head coach Andy Flower has confirmed that South African-born batsman Kevin Pietersen has regained his spot in the national team and added that he will be placed at the number four position in the batting lineup.

The Daily Express quoted Flower as saying: “Whatever label you want to put on it, Kevin is coming back into the team after a few problems that we had, I am confident we’ll work together well from now on. I don’t envisage any problems.”
