A BATTING WITH BIMAL BREAKING REPORT: Brad Haddin always happy to share advice with anyone who needs it

Haddin stated he will give advice to anyone who needs it

Veteran Australia wicketkeeper batsman Brad Haddin has revealed that he is always more than happy to share advice with other players, even if they happen to be competing for his spot on the national roster.

Haddin stated that he was giving some advice to his younger New South Wales team-mate Peter Nevill in order to see him grow up and fulfil his dream of representing his country.

The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Haddin as saying: “It’s easy for me to give advice and to help any cricketer, if I can help someone be a better cricketer whether they’re going for my spot or not, life goes on … I’m happy to pass on any information to help them because it can only help Australian cricket and NSW.”

Haddin added that he was keen on helping Nevill improve since he always had the “unmistakable hunger” of becoming the best player in the sport and also because he had been “getting better and better every year”.

“He’s getting better every year and his desire to learn impresses me. He wants to learn, he wants to get better and I like that because I believe every time you turn up to training you have to want to get better, if you look at someone like Ricky Ponting, it’s inspiring to see that despite all he’s achieved he turns up to training with the aim to be a better cricketer. And I see that in Nev, he’s getting better and better every year,” Haddin said.
