Salvi will be looking to make the most of this opportunity
Former India medium pace bowler Aavishkar Salvi will replace an ill Varun Aaron in the Delhi Daredevils squad for the upcoming Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) in South Africa.
The CLT20 technical committee acknowledged the change after Aaron was ruled out of taking part in the event due to tonsillitis.
Aaron is set to undergo a tonsillectomy, which is a surgical procedure that effectively removes the tonsils from his mouth.
Salvi, 30, who has represented India in four ODIs in 2003, has taken seven wickets throughout his Indian Premier League (IPL) career for the Daredevils.
The Daredevils will open up their CLT20 campaign with a match on the opening day of the group stages against this year’s IPL winners the Kolkata Knight Riders at Centurion.
