Bravo has been sidelined with a groin injury since June
West Indies batsman Darren Bravo has announced that he will be ready for the upcoming challenges during the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Twenty20 later this month, and cannot wait to play to play in Sri Lanka again.
Bravo was included in the 15-man squad that will represent the West Indies in the World Twenty20 after being out of action for a couple of months since he sustained a groin injury during an ODI series against England in June.
“I made a good start to my Test career in Sri Lanka a few years ago so it is a place that has good memories for me, I enjoy the conditions, the atmosphere and the overall environment there. I have done quite well in Asia in general so this World Cup is something that I’m looking forward to,” Bravo said.
Bravo was beginning to look like a bright future prospect for the West Indies, despite having a mediocre tour tour of England.
Bravo also missed the West Indies recent demolishing of New Zealand since he was training to be fit in time for the World Twenty20.
Having not played any international cricket for the past couple of months, Bravo noted that he was hoping to make his country proud by putting up some outstanding performances during the World Twenty20.
