India Pakistan series have always drawn a lot of attention over the years
India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced that his team were not against the idea of playing against their rivals Pakistan if both cricket boards could organise a bilateral series to take place in India.
Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Zaka Ashraf, was present at the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL), where according to reports, he had discussions with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials to revive cricketing ties between the two nations.
Dhoni, who expressed his excitement over the possibility of the series happening, said that it would be the best thing to bolster relations between the two countries.
India, ended all sporting ties with Pakistan after a devastating series of terrorist attacks in Mumbai in 2008, which were carried out by Pakistani nationals.
“Pakistan if they come here and play us, nothing better than that. We are open for it. But according to schedule, I don’t know where it will fit,” Dhoni said.
