Gilchrist feels as if this may be the end of his IPL career
Former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist, has revealed that he may no longer participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL) from next year onwards.
Gilchrist, who played with the Kings XI Punjab this year, noted that he had most likely played in his final IPL after the team lost to the Delhi Daredevils by six wickets.
Speaking in a press conference after the match, Gilchrist said: “I suspect this might be the end of the road for me in the IPL, but let’s see how it goes. Will go back home and think about future plans.”
Gilchrist however has no regrets in leading the Kings XI, and feels as if all his teammates have done an excellent job.
It was a topsy-turvy road for us but the team fought really well. It was a pleasure to lead the side,” he said.
Gilchrist, retired from all forms of international cricket back in 2008, and has played in every IPL thus far.
