A BATTING WITH BIMAL BREAKING REPORT: Graeme Swann on the verge of becoming England’s best right arm off-spinner

Swann is on course to overtake Jim Laker as England’s greatest right arm off-spinner

England bowler, Graeme Swann is within striking distance of overtaking Jim Laker as the country’s greatest right arm off-spinner.

Swann, who is just 12 wickets away from surpassing Laker’s record of 193 wickets, is expected to reach the milestone sometime between the West Indies or South Africa series.

“That’s very humbling if I am being put in the same bracket as he is, You always want to be rated and compared with the famous names, of the past and in the present,” he said.

Swann, has already passed England legends, such as his childhood heroes John Emburey and Fred Titmus, among others.

With Swann on the verge of becoming England’s greatest right arm off-spinner ever, he will be looking to take as many wickets against the West Indies as possible, in order to get himself nearer and nearer to his lifelong dream.
