Australia’s win over the West Indies moved them up to third in the Test team rankings
India have fallen to forth place in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test team rankings, after Australia secured a 2-0 series win against the West Indies.
Australia, had gone into their Caribbean tour with the same number of points as India, but were placed beneath them when ratings were calculated beyond the decimal point.
The series win against the West Indies was enough to give Australia the edge over India, hence the jump to third spot.
England, lead all nations in the Test team rankings with 116 points, while South Africa are right behind them in second place.
With India free-falling from the number one Test team to number four in a very short period of time, there has been a lot of pressure on captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni to get the nation’s act together, in order to climb back up the rankings and retain their world number one spot.
