India Captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has revealed that he will be growing his hair back to when he first started playing for India.
Dhoni, who was at a promotional event in Kolkata, chose to talk about his love affair with bikes and his hair, rather than cricket.
Speaking at the event, Dhoni stated that his bald look, after winning the 2011 Cricket World Cup, was not an offering to God, as some people had thought.
“I’m growing my hair again. People said that I shaved my hair because of some ‘mannat’. But actually I wanted a lean look with the summer approaching so I decided to go bald” Dhoni said.
Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, who became an avid Dhoni fan, when India toured Pakistan in 2006, said that Dhoni looked good with his long hair, and should not cut it.
Dhoni, used to be a big hitter with his long hair, but since cutting his hair, he has become more controlled. However, many fans will be hoping that by growing his hair, Dhoni will transform back into the old school player he once was.
