Chigumbura was Zimbabwe’s limited overs captain from May 2010 to March 2011

Zimbabwe all-rounder Elton Chigumbura will lead the national team in limited overs cricket following Zimbabwe Cricket’s decision to split the captaincy.

This means that Brendan Taylor will only lead Zimbabwe in Test matches.

However, Chigumbura does have experience captaining Zimbabwe in limited overs cricket as he led the country from May 2010 to March 2011.

Zimbabwe Cricket also announced that Andy Waller, who had been coaching the national team, will be promoted to the National Director of Coaching, while Stephen Mangongo will take his place as head coach.
