England captain Ben Stokes said he had nothing to with Pakistan removing Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah from their squad midway through the three-Test series.

Former Pakistan team director and interim head coach Mohammad Hafeez had urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) not to even think of removing Shaheen Shah Afridi as T20I captain.
Azhar Ali: “I don’t think Babar has any issues with his captaincy. The whole captaincy episode wasn’t ideal. Neither removing him was ideal, nor is reappointing him ideal”

Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has demanded answers from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after questioning why they removed Mohammad Hafeez as team director and interim head coach while retaining Wahab Riaz as a selector.
Shadab Khan: “Even now, look, we’ve given Shaheen a series, and we’re contemplating changing his captaincy. It shouldn’t be like this because in the long term, one should be given a chance to captain properly according to his process, his method”

Former Pakistan chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has questioned if the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had already “decided in advance” to sack Babar Azam as captain and Mickey Arthur as team director.
Shoaib Akhtar: “They should have given him (Azam) 1.5 months without saying a word, but the board didn’t do that. We are experts in removing someone from their position and this is how the entire management of Pakistan works, just remove and banish”
