Pakistan spinner Sajid Khan has revealed that he was a “genuine batter in age-group cricket” and works on his batting at practice every day.
Sajid Khan: “I did not see any genuine off-spinner in the PSL teams. That is why there is a lack of off-spinners. In Pakistan, here our teams mostly carry a batter who can bowl part-time off-spin”

Test spinner Sajid Khan has noticed that both the national team and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises lack proper off-spinners.
Nasser Hussain: “I like Sajid Khan’s character too. He has got a bit about him, he’s got a bit of passion, wears his heart on his sleeve. He’s got a fast bowler’s mentality as an off-spinner”

Sajid Khan believes that Pakistan are in need of a proper wicket-taking off-spinner and feels that he is the answer.
Pakistan all-rounder Qasim Akram: “I wasn’t very good as a fast bowler so one of the coaches in my club advised me to take up off-spin as that would increase my chances of selection in teams in an all-rounder role. From then on, I became an off-spinner”
