Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have called on the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) to postpone the inaugural edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) to a later date in order to avoid it clashing with the second edition of the Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL).

Pakistan’s tour of the West Indies is set to be split into two after it was agreed that the two nations would play two Tests against each other in July, while the limited overs series has been postponed to a later date, which is still yet to be confirmed.

Just a month after former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin had his life ban lifted by the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) stepped in and announced that they would be reviewing the court’s decision, but could not come to an agreement at the end of their first meeting and have thus chosen to “defer” the decision until a later date.
