Pakistan big-hitter Usman Khan has lauded wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan for his impact across all three formats, describing him as a “legendary player.”
Rizwan has been among Pakistan’s most consistent run-scorers in recent years and remains a central figure in Tests and ODIs.
However, he is currently out of the T20I team, with Usman taking over the wicketkeeping duties in the shortest format as of late.
Despite this shift, Usman insisted the 33-year-old is still an elite cricketer as he has achieved major milestones and continues to set high standards with both the bat and gloves.
“Mohammad Rizwan is a legendary player; what can one say about him? Rizwan has delivered performances in all three formats,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Usman was recently in action in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Australia in Lahore and scored 71 runs in two matches, which included a career-best 53, at an average of 35.50 and a strike-rate of 142.
Pakistan will now take part in the 2026 T20 World Cup, with their first match being against the Netherlands on February 7 in Colombo.
