Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt has advised wicketkeeper-batsman Haseebullah Khan to smarten up as he is “a bit flashy for the international level”.
Haseebullah has long been seen as a future star in the making as he has showcased his talent on many occasions.
Most recently, he represented Pakistan in their ODI series against Sri Lanka, but made a duck in the one match he played.
After that, he was in action for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day), where he finished with 140 runs in eight games, which included a top score of 89, at an average of 17.50.
“Haseebullah is a bit flashy for the international level. He has to tighten up,” Salman was quoted as saying by Khel Shel on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan team’s latest assignment saw them travel to Sri Lanka for a three-match T20I series in Dambulla, which ended as a 1-1 draw.
Next up for the men in green will be a three T20Is against Australia, which is scheduled to be held in Lahore from January 29 to February 1.
