Pakistan spinner Imad Wasim believes big-hitter Azam Khan and fast bowler Naseem Shah are match-winners.
He noted that both of them need to continue working hard in order to keep having a major impact when they play any type of cricket.
Imad specifically pointed out that Azam has a lot of work to do, but has backed him to become a better cricketer as he has the commitment and passion needed.
Azam hasn’t played international cricket since the 2024 T20 World Cup, while Naseem was recently in action in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka in Dambulla.
He only played one match and took one wicket at an average of 35 and an economy rate of 11.66.
“Naseem, Azam, they are match-winners on their own. Naseem is working hard, Azam needs to work hard even more so I know this is what I can say about Azam, I know when he thinks he will have to do a lot of work, he will do it and he’s very keen to do it because that’s his passion, that’s his life and sometimes a couple of bad tournaments make your eyes open and he will come back strong,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Pakistan will be back in action again very soon as they will take on Australia in a three-match T20I series in Lahore from January 29 to February 1.
