Pakistan spinner Noman Ali attributed his success on the field to the fact that he works hard during the off-season.

Since he only plays Test cricket, the 39-year-old has to make sure he stays fit and in form when he is not in action.

His efforts have been paying off as he has become one of the go-to spinners for Pakistan in the longest format.

Recently, the Sanghar native featured in the two-Test series against South Africa, where he took 14 wickets, which included a five-wicket haul, at an average of 23.07.

“I only play red-ball cricket, so I focus and work hard a lot during the off-season,” Noman was quoted as saying by Khel Shel on X, formerly known as Twitter.

After the Test series, the men in green defeated South Africa 2-1 in both the T20Is and ODIs.

They then faced Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series and won 3-0.

Pakistan are now involved in a T20I tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, which will conclude on November 29.
