Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha despises the fact that big-hitting batsman Fakhar Zaman doesn’t get the respect he deserves despite being a match-winner for 10 years.

Zaman has played a number of memorable knocks for the men in green, but his form has been turbulent over the past few months.

During the recent home series against South Africa, the 35-year-old made 45 runs in three ODIs at an average of 15.

He is now featuring in Pakistan’s three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka and has done much better, amassing 110 runs in two games, which includes a top score of 78, at an average of 55.

“Fakhar Zaman has [remained] the match-winner of Pakistan since 10 years. People don’t [give] him the respect he deserves,” Salman was quoted as saying by journalist Ahmad Haseeb on X, formerly known as Twitter.

After the ODIs against Sri Lanka, Pakistan will be involved in a T20I tri-series with Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from November 18 to 29.
