Former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq has noticed spin-bowling all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz becomes a “dangerous player” when he has “a clear mind.”
Nawaz is slowly becoming a key member of the T20I team as he has been having a major impact with both the bat and ball.
During the 2025 Asia Cup, he scored 113 runs in seven matches at an average of 18.83 and a strike-rate of 136.14.
He also took two wickets at an average of 43.50 and an economy rate of 7.25.
“When he comes with a clear mind, he is a dangerous player,” Misbah was quoted as saying by TOK Sports on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan are now taking on South Africa and began by drawing the two-Test series 1-1.
Nawaz didn’t play in the Test series, but did feature in the three-match T20I series, where he amassed 36 runs in three games at an average of 18 and a strike-rate of 171.42.
Bowling-wise, he picked up four wickets at an average of 20.75 and an economy rate of 7.54.
Pakistan and South Africa will now go head to head in a three-match T20I series between November 4 and 8.
Following that, Pakistan will challenge Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series from November 11 to 15, before joining a T20I tri-series with Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from November 17 to 29.
