Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali is confident that batsman Babar Azam will score runs soon as he has proven himself time and time again.

Azam is currently in the midst of a rough patch, but has shown signs of getting back to his best as he has produced a few solid knocks as of late.

Having been ignored for T20Is lately, the 30-year-old only featured in Pakistan’s three-match ODI series against the West Indies, where he scored 56 runs at a batting average of 18.66.

With the pressure mounting on Azam to start producing big scores on a more consistent basis, Hasan is confident that the Lahore native will deliver.

“King Babar Azam will also score runs. From 2016 to 2024, Babar Azam has proven his mettle,” he told Samaa TV.

Pakistan recently played in the 2025 Asia Cup, where they lost to India in the final.

Next up for the men in green will be a home series against South Africa, which will comprise two Tests, three T20Is, and three ODIs.

The series will be played from October 12 to November 8.
