Pakistan mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed said big-hitting batsman Fakhar Zaman is a T20I specialist who can win games on his own.
Zaman is renowned for his powerful array of shots and has been in excellent form in the shortest format lately.
During Pakistan’s T20I tri-series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan, he smashed 155 runs, which included a top score of 77 not out, at an average of 38.75 and a strike-rate of 138.39.
“Everyone knows Fakhar bhai is a match-winner. Whenever he plays, Pakistan wins. He’s a T20 specialist,” Abrar was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Zaman is now featuring in the 2025 Asia Cup, which is being held in the UAE.
In six matches, he has accumulated 135 runs, which includes a top score of 50, at an average of 27 and a strike-rate of 117.39.
The men in green took down Oman and the UAE in the group stage, but also lost to India.
They fell to India again in the Super Four, but bounced back with wins over Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, which secured them a spot in the final.
Pakistan will face India in the Asia Cup final on September 28 in Dubai.
