Pakistan big-hitter Mohammad Faiq is determined to help his country win the 2026 T20 World Cup.

The tournament is scheduled to be held in India and Sri Lanka from between February and March 2026.

Faiq has shown incredible promise in his T20 career thus far, amassing 401 runs in seven matches, which includes two centuries and two fifties, at an eye-popping average of 100.25 and a strike-rate of 194.66.

Despite not featuring in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), the 28-year-old from Lahore is eager to be on the selectors’ radar when the time comes for the T20 World Cup squad to be announced.

“I want to win [the] T20 World Cup for Pakistan,” he told PakPassion.

After PSL 10, Pakistan went up against Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series in Lahore and came away with a 3-0 victory.

They then toured Bangladesh for another three-match T20I series, but ended up being beaten 2-1.

As for their tour of the West Indies, it was mixed results for the men in green as they won the T20I series 2-1 but lost the ODI series 2-1.
