Karachi Kings head coach Ravi Bopara has chosen Irfan Khan as the best fielder in Pakistan.
Previously, players like Shadab Khan used to be the top choice when it came to the top fielder in the country, but Irfan has quickly climbed the ranks by establishing his reputation as a gun fielder.
Bopara got to see the 22-year-old in action for the Kings in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he amassed 165 runs in 10 matches at an average of 20.62 and a strike-rate of 132.
“Irfan Niazi is the best fielder in Pakistan,” Bopara, a former England all-rounder, was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X, formerly known as Twitter.
After PSL 10, Pakistan took on Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series in Lahore, but Irfan was not selected.
He also missed the tour of Bangladesh, where the men in green lost the T20I series 2-1.
Pakistan are now touring the West Indies for three T20Is and three ODIs.
The T20I series is tied at 1-1 going into the 3rd T20I, which will be held on August 4 in Lauderhill.
