Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali has attributed has return to form to working on his fitness and changing his diet.
He added that in addition to making a lot of changes off the cricket field, he also “modified the basics” of his bowling.
The hard work has definitely paid off for the 31-year-old as he has been a real threat with the ball lately.
This was especially evident during the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he finished as the joint second-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in 10 matches for the Karachi Kings at an average of 20.47 and an economy rate of 9.03.
“I haven’t made any major changes to my bowling. Instead, I’ve modified the basics of my bowling and worked on my fitness and diet, which has helped me a lot this season,” Hasan told the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) digital platform as quoted by A Sports.
After PSL 10, Hasan was involved in the three T20Is Pakistan played against Bangladesh and claimed eight wickets, which included a career-best five-wicket haul, at an average of 11.12 and an economy rate of 9.53.
The men in green are now touring Bangladesh for another three-match T20I series, but Hasan was not included in the team as he is representing the Birmingham Bears in the Vitality Blast in England.
Pakistan are trailing 2-0 in the series going into the 3rd T20I on July 24 in Mirpur.
