Pakistan batsman Babar Azam said he learned a lot from legendary captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, who served as a mentor to the Peshawar Zalmi during the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Inzamam is also regarded as one of Pakistan’s best-ever batsmen as he led by example on numerous occasions.

He also played 378 ODIs and accumulated 11,739 runs, which included 10 hundreds and 83 half-centuries, at an average of 39.52.
As for his T20I career, the Multan native made 11 not out in the one match he played.
“When you have a mentor like him (Inzamam), you learn a lot,” Azam was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Azam captained the Zalmi in PSL 10 and amassed 288 runs in 10 matches, which included three half-centuries, at an average of 36 and a strike-rate of 128.57.
Following this, Pakistan took on Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series, but Azam was not picked in the team.
