Pakistan power-hitter Iftikhar Ahmed said top order batsman Sahibzada Farhan is “in the form of his life”.
Farhan has been dominating in domestic cricket as he was recently the top run-scorer in the National T20 Cup, where he represented Peshawar Region.
In seven matches, the 29-year-old amassed 605 runs, which included three centuries and two fifties, at a jaw-dropping average of 121 and a strike-rate of 189.65.
Even though Farhan did not feature in Pakistan’s white-ball tour of New Zealand, he did play in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and maintained his red-hot form as he topped the run-scoring chart again with 449 runs in 12 games for Islamabad United, which included a hundred and three half-centuries, at an average of 37.41 and a strike-rate of 152.20.
“In the form of his life,” Iftikhar said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Having racking up numerous centuries, Farhan was picked for Pakistan’s ongoing three-match T20I series against Bangladesh and made a career-best 74 off 41 balls in the 2nd T20I, which included four boundaries and six sixes.
Pakistan are 2-0 up in the series heading into the 3rd T20I on June 1 in Lahore.
