Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan has called fast-bowling all-rounder Aamer Jamal “a future prospect”.

Jamal has shown flashes of brilliance in his international career thus far, especially in Test cricket, where he averages 27.07 with the bat and 32.85 with the ball.

However, he hasn’t been given a prolonged opportunity to prove his worth, which has angered some former players, who share Moin’s view that the 28-year-old can be a major asset for the men in green.

“Aamer Jamal is a future prospect,” Moin was quoted as saying by Khel Shel on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Jamal did not represent Pakistan in the 2025 Champions Trophy, where they crashed out in the group stage, and the limited overs tour of New Zealand, where they lost the T20I series 4-1 and the ODIs 3-0.

Currently, the Mianwali native is in action for the Karachi Kings in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has taken five wickets in seven games at an average of 39.40 and an economy rate of 10.94.

He has also scored 25 runs at an average of 8.33 and a strike-rate of 108.69.

PSL 10 will conclude on May 25.

Following PSL 10, Pakistan will take on Bangladesh in a three-match T20I series in Lahore from May 28 to June 1.
