Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh believes Pakistan batsman Fakhar Zaman “has the ability to take the game away from the opposition”.
Zaman recently made his international comeback in the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, and showcased how dominant he can be.
In the three matches he played, the 35-year-old amassed 135 runs, which included a top score of 84, at an average of 45 and a strike-rate of 120.53.
Zaman was then involved in the 2025 Champions Trophy and scored 24 runs in the opening game against New Zealand.
However, his campaign came to an end in that match as well as he suffered an oblique injury.
The injury resulted in him missing the white-ball tour of New Zealand, where Pakistan lost the T20Is 4-1 and the ODIs 3-0.
Despite the setback, Harbhajan knows how dangerous Zaman can be when he is fully fit and firing on all cylinders.
“He has the ability to take the game away from the opposition,” he said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Geo Super.
Zaman is now playing for the Lahore Qalandars in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has amassed 309 runs in nine matches, which includes three fifties, at an average of 34.33 and a strike-rate of 152.97.
