Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood said spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan deserve a lot of credit for their way they came back into the national team and performed.

Both bowlers returned to the side for the second and third Tests against England in October 2024 and played an instrumental role in leading Pakistan to a 2-1 win, which was their first Test series victory at home since 2021.

Noman finished with 20 wickets, which included two five-wicket hauls, at an average of 13.85.

As for Sajid, he picked up 19 wickets, which also included two five-fors, at an average of 21.10.

Following this, both of them continued their red-hot form in the two-Test series against the West Indies, with Noman claiming 16 wickets, which included two five-wicket hauls, at an average of 12.62.

Sajid, meanwhile, finished with 15 wickets, which included a five-for, at an average of 17.

“Credit goes to Noman and Sajid for their comeback – it looked like two seasoned campaigners bowling for Pakistan,” Masood was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

Despite their strong performances in Test cricket, Noman and Sajid weren’t picked for Pakistan’s ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, the 2025 Champions Trophy, and the limited overs tour of New Zealand.

In addition to this, both of them aren’t featuring in the ongoing 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Masood, however, is playing for the Karachi Kings and has made scores of 0 and 18 in his first two games against the Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars respectively.

PSL 10 got underway on April 11 and will conclude on May 18.
