Former Australia all-rounder Tom Moody has no doubt that Pakistan top order batsman Fakhar Zaman is an impact player.
Zaman recently made his international comeback in the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, where he made 135 runs in three matches, which included a top score of 84, at an average of 45 and a strike-rate of 120.53.
He then featured in the 2025 Champions Trophy and scored 24 runs in the opening game against New Zealand before missing the remainder of the tournament with an oblique injury.
“There’s no question about his capabilities and the impact he can have as a player,” Moody was quoted as saying by A Sports.
As a result of his injury, Zaman missed Pakistan’s limited overs tour of New Zealand, where the men in green lost the T20I series 4-1 and the ODIs 3-0.
Currently, the 35-year-old is representing the Lahore Qalandars in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and began by scoring one run against Islamabad United.
PSL 10 started on April 11 and will conclude on May 18.
