India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said he is not sure what Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha’s real age is.

Salman, 31, has become an integral part of the Pakistan team as he has scored plenty of runs in the middle order.

Additionally, he has a knack of posting big scores even when batting with the tailenders.

Ashwin admitted that he likes what he has seen what Salman thus far and hopes he keeps performing well for the men in green going forward.

“I am not sure about his real age,” he was quoted as saying by respected journalist Saj Sadiq on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Salman recently represented Pakistan in their ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, where he struck 219 runs, which included a career-best 134, at an average of 73.

The Lahore native then featured in the 2025 Champions Trophy and made 61 runs at an average of 30.50.

Pakistan lost to New Zealand and India in the Champions Trophy, which led to them getting eliminated in the group stage.

Their final match against Bangladesh was abandoned due to rain.

Next up for the men in green will be a white-ball tour of New Zealand, where they will play five T20Is and three ODIs from March 16 to April 5.
