Former Pakistan left-arm seamer Sohail Tanvir has slammed the national team’s pace attack, saying their “death bowling is a big, big concern lately”.

He noted that even though the ball is reverse swinging, the fast bowlers have been unable to “nail yorkers”.

His comments come after Pakistan lost to New Zealand in ODI tri-series final.

The men in green also lost to the Black Caps by 60 runs in the opening game of the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Tanvir noted that something has to change in order for Pakistan’s seamers to stop leaking so many runs.

“Death bowling is a big, big concern lately, ball reversing and still we couldn’t nail yorkers,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Pakistan’s next match in the Champions Trophy will be against arch-rivals India on February 23 in Dubai.
