Pakistan pace bowler Shahnawaz Dahani has provided an update on his left ankle injury, saying he has started bowling again.

Dahani suffered the injury during a training session when the men in green toured Zimbabwe in November 2024.

Having made progress in his recovery, the 26-year-old is now back to bowling in the nets and is set to make a return to competitive cricket in the near future.

“Resetting the pace, back to bowling practice!” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Dahani last played international cricket in October 2022, but was on track to make his comeback in the ODI series against Zimbabwe before suffering the injury setback.

After their tour of Zimbabwe, Pakistan travelled to South Africa and lost the T20I series 2-0 before rebounding to secure a 3-0 win in the ODIs.

In the two-Test series that followed, the men in green were whitewashed 2-0.

They then faced the West Indies in a two-Test series in Multan, which ended as a 1-1 draw.

Pakistan will now play an ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa before going on to take part in the 2025 Champions Trophy, which will be held from February 19 to March 9.
