Former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop wants to see 16-year-old Pakistan pace sensation Ali Raza succeed as he is “trying to make his own way in the game”.

His comments come after Raza put on a show in the final of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy as he took 10 wickets in total for Sialkot Region to help them beat Peshawar Region by one wicket.

During the match, Raza took career-best figures of 7-48 in the 2nd innings, which happened to be his first five-for in first-class cricket.

Overall, the teenager played in two matches in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and claimed 13 wickets at an average of 18.07.

Bishop was immensely impressed with Raza’s performance in the final of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and sees great things ahead for the youngster.

“Just want to shout out this youth who is honestly trying to make his own way in the game. Never forget your first Ali Raza bhai,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
