Pakistan pace bowler Ihsanullah has selected limited overs captain Mohammad Rizwan as his favourite player ever.
He noted that Rizwan is number one on his list out of all past and present cricketers as well.
Rizwan has been one of Pakistan’s top performers for the past couple of years and is renowned for always playing the game in the right spirit.
Recently, he featured in Pakistan’s three-Test series against England and scored 99 runs at an average of 19.80.
“My favourite player is Mohammad Rizwan, whether current or from the past. He is my favourite player in the world,” Ihsanullah was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Rizwan made his captaincy debut during the tour of Australia and began by scoring 74 runs in three ODIs at an average of 74.
He followed that up with 16 runs in two T20Is at an average of eight.
The men in green flew to Zimbabwe after this and Rizwan amassed 56 runs in three ODIs at an average of 56.
He was then rested for the three-match T20I series, which Pakistan won 2-1.
Pakistan are now in South Africa and playing a T20I series, where Rizwan has made scores of 74 and 11 in the first two matches.
The 3rd T20I will take place on December 15 in Johannesburg.
Following this, Pakistan and South Africa will play three ODIs and two Tests, which will begin on December 17 and December 26 respectively.
