Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir has hinted that his international career might be over as he said the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) “wants to move forward with a youngster”.
Amir came out of retirement to play for the men in green in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he was their joint-highest wicket-taker with seven wickets in four matches at an average of 10.28 and an economy rate of 4.50.
Since then, the 32-year-old has been featuring in domestic T20 leagues even though Pakistan have had a number of T20I series, including against Australia and Zimbabwe.
It remains to be seen if Amir will get picked again, but he confirmed that people will get “breaking news in 2-3 months”.
