Australia captain Pat Cummins said he never underestimates Pakistan as they “are quite a decent side”.

He noted that the men in green have many players “who have scored big runs” and acknowledged that they can spring surprises at any time.

His comments come after Australia recently took on Pakistan in a limited overs series, which consisted of three ODIs and three T20Is.

Pakistan ended up winning the ODIs 2-1, which gave them their first ODI series win in Australia since 2002.

However, things went a lot differently in the T20Is as Australia completed a 3-0 series whitewash.

“Pakistan are quite a decent side and they have players who have scored big runs. We have played against them in recent years, so I think it’s always a fairly even match,” Cummins was quoted as saying by respected journalist Saj Sadiq on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Pakistan are now facing Zimbabwe in a three-match ODI series and find themselves 1-0 down after losing the first game by 80 runs via the DLS method.

The second ODI will be played on November 26 in Bulawayo.

Once the ODIs finish, Pakistan and Zimbabwe will play three T20Is, with the first match scheduled to take place on December 1 in Bulawayo.
