Pakistan spinner Sajid Khan admitted that getting England batsman Joe Root out was his “most prized wicket”.
Sajid and Root went head to head during the recent three-Test series in Pakistan, which the men in green won 2-1.
The 31-year-old got Root out twice in the series, dismissing him once in the second Test in Multan and once in the third Test in Rawalpindi.
Ultimately, Sajid finished with 19 wickets, which included two five-fors, at an average of 21.10.
“As soon as Joe Root came to bat, I told him I’ve played against your brother in England, but you are my dream wicket, so he started laughing. But that was my dream and most prized wicket,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
The Pakistan team are now involved in a limited overs series against Australia, which consists of three ODIs and three T20Is.
