Nasser Hussain: “The issue is not Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, or Naseem Shah. The issue is behind the scenes in the way Pakistan cricket runs”

Former England captain Nasser Hussain believes Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah are not the problem with Pakistan cricket.
Instead, he pinned the problems being experienced by the national team on those “behind the scenes”.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has gone through a number of chairmen, selectors and coaches over the past few years, which has created a very tumultuous atmosphere.
Hussain noted that people have to stop blaming the players for the issues faced and rather shift their anger towards those in charge of the decision making.
“The issue is not Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, or Naseem Shah. The issue is behind the scenes in the way Pakistan cricket runs,” he said on Sky Sports as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
The Pakistan team recently faced Bangladesh in a two-Test series, which they lost 2-0.
They then took on England in a three-match Test series and triumphed 2-1, which was their first Test series win on home soil since 2021.
Pakistan are now playing a limited overs series against Australia that consists of three ODIs and three T20Is.
Afterwards, they will tour Zimbabwe for three ODIs and three T20Is from November 24 to December 5.
