Former Pakistan fast bowler Tanvir Ahmed said everyone may be against Babar Azam, but he is not among them.
Calling the 29-year-old a “king”, Tanvir has backed him to break out of his rough patch soon and start scoring big runs.
Azam was recently involved in Pakistan’s two-Test series against Bangladesh and failed to impress with the bat as he was limited to 64 runs at an average of 16.
No matter how tough things get for the Lahore native, Tanvir has vowed to keep supporting him and singing his praises.
“Don’t worry, Babar Azam, you don’t need to feel disheartened. You’re going through a rough patch right now. Everyone may be against you but don’t pay attention to them. Your time will come back, Inshallah. I’m with you and will always support you. Keep your heart strong, you are a king,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter, as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan were beaten 2-0 by Bangladesh and will now face England in a three-match Test series, which will be held from October 7 to 28.
