Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad has conceded that left-arm seamer Shaheen Shah Afridi’s attitude has become a problem.
His comments come after Afridi reportedly misbehaved with the coaches and team management during the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Shehzad pointed out that such behaviour should not be tolerated and the 24-year-old must be told to clean his act up, especially since he is one of the main players in the team across all three formats.
“His attitude is problematic,” he said in a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
Afridi was recently involved in Pakistan’s two-Test series against Bangladesh, but only featured in the first Test as he was dropped for the second game.
In the sole match he played, he took two wickets at a disappointing average of 48.
To make matters worse, Pakistan went on to lose the series 2-0.
Next up for the men in green will be a three-match Test series against England, which will take place from October 7 to 28.
