Zaka Ashraf: “He is one of the best batters Pakistan has ever produced”

Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf believes white-ball captain Babar Azam is one of the best batsmen the country has ever produced.
Azam has been Pakistan’s most consistent batsman for the past few years and has broken numerous records as well.
Most recently, Azam was in action in the 2024 T20 World Cup and scored 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66.
“He is one of the best batters Pakistan has ever produced,” Ashraf said in a PCB press release.
Pakistan lost their first two matches against the United States of America and India in the T20 World Cup before triumphing over Canada and Ireland.
However, those two victories went in vain as the men in green ended up being eliminated in the group stage of the tournament.
