Pakistan left-arm seamer Shaheen Shah Afridi has insisted that limited overs captain Babar Azam is not out of form.
Azam hasn’t been at his best with the bat for the past few months, which has been a huge problem for the men in green since he is one of their most consistent run-scorers.
Azam showed signs of regaining some form in the 2024 T20 World Cup as he was Pakistan’s top run-scorer with 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66.
“I don’t think that Babar is out of form,” Afridi was quoted as saying by Cricwick.
Pakistan lost to the United States of America and India in the T20 World Cup before fighting back to beat Canada and Ireland.
Despite winning their last two group stage games, the men in green could not book their spot in the Super Eights.
