Pakistan fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani has made it clear that he definitely wants to be part of the team for the 2025 Champions Trophy.

The tournament is scheduled to be held in Pakistan and Dahani is hoping to make his international comeback before then as he has been a dominant force in domestic cricket.

Most recently, the 25-year-old from Larkana played for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) competition and finished as the highest wicket-taker with 19 wickets in seven matches at an average of 16.47 and an economy rate of 5.76.

“Yes absolutely, I want to play Champions Trophy in Pakistan. It’s our home ground so I am very excited,” Dahani was quoted as saying by A Sports.

Dahani did not feature in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where the men in green lost to the United States of America and India before fighting back to beat Canada and Ireland.

Even though they ended the group stage on a high, they failed to book their spot in the Super Eights.
