Virat Kohli, the India batting maestro, said he really enjoys watching Pakistan captain Babar Azam in action as he keeps scoring runs.
Azam has been Pakistan’s most consistent run-scorer over the past few years, which has cemented his status as one of the elite batsmen in world cricket.
Kohli knows exactly how dangerous the 29-year-old can be, especially since he has made big scores against India in the past.
“He performs so consistently and I’ve always enjoyed watching him play,” he was quoted as saying by respected journalist Saj Sadiq on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Azam recently captained Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup and finished with 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66.
The men in green kicked off their campaign with back-to-back losses to the United States of America and India before fighting back to take down Canada and Ireland.
Even though they ended the group stage on a high, it wasn’t enough to get them into the Super Eights.
