Former Pakistan head coach Misbah-ul-Haq believes wicketkeeper-batsman Azam Khan has become fat once again.

Misbah noted that Azam lost weight in the past, trained hard and was performing well.

However, he feels the 25-year-old no longer has that discipline, which has led to him putting on the weight he worked so hard to lose.

“There was a time when he reduced his weight, did training and delivered performances. Nowadays, I have observed that the discipline he had in the past has been given up and I can see that he has increased his body weight. So, he also needs to think about it,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.

Azam recently represented Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup and was dismissed for a golden duck against the United States of America, which was the only game he played.

The men in green started the tournament with back-to-back losses to the United States of America and India before rebounding to beat Canada and Ireland.

Despite this, they were eliminated in the group stage.
