England spinner Adil Rashid believes Pakistan limited overs captain Babar Azam is “one of the best batters in the world” since he shines against pace and spin.
Azam has consistently scored runs for the Pakistan team and guided them to incredible wins from precarious positions.
Rashid and Azam battled against each other in a four-match T20I series in May 2024, which England won 2-0.
“He is one of the best batters in the world. He’s not only a good player of spin but equally a good player against pacers too,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Azam recently captained the men in green in the 2024 T20 World Cup and finished with 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66.
Pakistan lost their first two games against the United States of America and India before rebounding to defeat Canada and Ireland.
However, their wins went in vain as they were eliminated in the group stage of the competition.
